So do you think that since there are way more Latinos in the mlb than blacks, should we just start ignoring Jackie Robinson day now? I’m all for minorities standing up for themselves, but blacks aren’t the only ones that are discriminated against. There are way more latinos in the mlb but when Jackie Robinson day rolls around they all celebrate it(almost all) and honor him by wearing #42 on their jerseys. Yes, there are a lot of blacks, but look at baseball.
Why are you bothered by that? There are latinos in the nfl too. Why doesn’t it “cut it”? When Kaepernick started all of this, he was for minorities in general. What exactly about this that bothers you? I could see the ‘outrage’ if they replaced the national anthem, but if they play a song in addition to it, why are you offended especially given that 70% of NFL players are black?Īnd “well, then why don’t they address Canadiens and Mexicans, and etc etc” doesn’t cut it. If anyone is upset about this, the big question is why.
